I enjoyed this as an audio book! I always love it when the parts of a book come together in the end and all the puzzling parts finally make sense. It was fun to see the mansion change through the decades and see the different young women’s choices in their eras.

Loved this story, what a great job these 3 authors did of writing this story together. It flowed well from character to character and author to author. I was constantly wondering how the stories would tie together in the end and they did a great job! I had the pleasure of meeting 2 of the authors last summer (Beatriz Williams and Lauren Willig) and they were such charming and funny ladies and I could see the great relationship these writers have, hope they do more together.
And I had to check Beatriz Williams's website... and sure enough, Philip, Lucy and Kate Schuyler are related to the Schuylers in Beatriz Williams other books. Love it!!

I was a little weary of The Forgotten Room only because I wasn't sure how the story would flow with three different authors. My fears were set aside once I began the sweeping, multi generational story set in three time periods. Kate is a young doctor in 1944 New York who works in a former mansion turned hospital and constantly has to prove herself simple because she is a woman. Lucy is a secretary for law office in Manhattan in 1920 who lives in an apartment in the former mansion. Olive is a servant in 1892 in the mansion during it's hey day. As the story progresses, you begin to learn more about the ties that bind these three woman to each other and the mansion. How these ties affect their futures, loves and losses. I can't say much more without spoiling the story. All in all, an enjoyable historical fiction read.

I have read several books by Williams, and white, and I thoroughly enjoyed this compilation. I could definitely tell certain authors chose certain characters to write. I will definitely read this group again.
