This is a very painful book to read. It is written in a stream of consciousness voice that is both repetitive and full of hurt. I wanted to like the book, because the voice sounds so authentic, but I ended up just skimming it - and it isn't the kind of book that you can skim, because the nuggets of information are hidden in the vast amount of detail about everyday life for the main character.

Not sure why all the reviews of this book were negative. Kevin Brooks is really a badass when it comes to writing thought-provoking books that are dark as hell.

Ich habs nur noch für das Ende gaaanz grob überflogen und selbst das war kacke. Spart euch bitte dieses Buch und lest andere dieses Autors. ("Naked"!!!!!)
