I think I liked this one the best of all three Tess Brookes novels because she had to struggle a little bit more; she wasn't just lucking in to this amazing situation and immediately recognized as a talented photographer.
I do wish I had read the I Heart series first, because I'm 99% sure that there were crossover characters.
My only "complaint", which is more of a personal preference, is the prologues for these three books got a little...sameish. They were all purposely meant to confuse the reader into thinking that things were going one way when that isn't the case at all and each one tried to outdo the last. For example, this one is clearly intended to make the reader think Tess is the one getting married, not Kekipi, especially considering she's the one in the white dress, and then both Nick and Charlie show up and get into a fistfight and the "mystery" is which of the two she is/should be marrying. But by this point in the series, since both previous installments did something similar, it is clear that isn't what's going on and it just seems...out of place. Or at least it did to me.
Otherwise, I loved it and I very much identify with the kind of identity crisis Tess is facing. Should she do the safe thing and stick with marketing or follow her passion and go the photography route?

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I have been waiting since I finished the last page of What A Girl Wants for this book and I gobbled it up like I would chocolate cake. (For those of you that don't know me well, that means I basically inhaled it)

This is the third book in the A Girl Series and it was just as fantastic as the other two.

After 2 fabulous jobs with Al (Bertie) Bennet, Tess has hit the ground with a pretty large bump. While she's a pretty decent photographer no one will hire her because they have never heard of her. So Tess decides to hop on a plane (or two) and meet up with her bestie Amy in NYC.

I adored 'being' back in NY. (by being I mean through Lindsey's writing). my absolute favourite scenes where the ones with the I heart gang. I've been hoping and praying for a meet between these characters since I started this series. I just knew that they would be such bloody good friends if they got the chance to meet.

I loved loved loved the ending of this book. I was literally so happy with it.

I adore Lindsey's writing style and as soon as she releases a book I always end up dropping everything to read it, even if I'm in the middle of another book.

I really hope this isn't the end for Tess and the gang and I would really REALLY love a book about Amy...(hint hint Lindsey). I look forward do Lindsey's next book whoever it is about.

The book starts of as a flash forward, then goes back by about a month.

I found the book slow to start with, the characters from the 'I heart' series meet with Tess and Amy, I didn't really like this, I just didn't get why she had to mix more people into the story, made it slightly complicated and drawn on. I was tempted to stop reading however, I decided to plod on.

I must say I am glad I carried on reading as the last half of the book is griping and much funnier, I read the last half in one afternoon and it is a perfect ending. The only thing I wasn't keen on is when you catch up to the flash forward at the start, as it just carries on and I couldn't remember what happened at the start, I was on my kindle so was too much faffing to go back to chapter one. Personally Lindsey should of just wrote it as it happened and not done a silly preview at the start.

I do hope Lindsey leaves Tess here as it is, I can't see where the characters could now go.

It was ok, I found a few chapters in the middle to be a tad boring.

For me it was probably closer to a 2.5* rating.

Humbug. It's a 2.5 really - not even a little bit Christmasy enough. I suppose I'm not really representative of a typical Lindsey Kelk fan though - I don't read this genre except at Christmas, and then I'm a sucker for a glittery, snowflake bedecked cover on offer in the supermarket! I'm sure I'm not alone in that though, so if anyone with similar taste reads this I'd say give it a miss. I loved I Heart Christmas and hoped this would be along the same lines but sadly not. The characters were mostly borderline annoying (what kind of moron visits NY at Christmas without a winter coat and wearing Converse?), the relationship drama was dull, and the Christmas setting was wasted.

Amazing book. Loved the plot lines, the inclusion of some I Heart favourites and the way the stories tied up... but I really don't want it to end! Seriously hoping there'll be at least one more book but, unfortunately, it seems unlikely.

Lindsey Kelk strikes again in the third book of her A Girl series. A Girl's Best Friend is as hysterical as the first two and I devoured it. This world and these friendships that Lindsey has created are so additive and guaranteed to keep you entertained from the first page to the last. The third book follows Tess's life back in London and New York following her adventures in Milan and Hawaii and needless to say, she manages to get herself into as much shit as in the last two books.

Tess and Amy are easily some of my most favourite characters. I love their personalities, their attitudes and their friendship is a thing of beauty. Settling down with these two ladies gives me such a content and cosy feeling. It's like meeting up with two old friends and hearing about what they've been up to this time. As well as their friendships, their love lives are so hysterical and I don't understand how Tess manages to get herself into such bizarre situations. I have always been Team Nick so I was really looking forward to seeing where things were going to go in this book. Things were less than ideal at the end of the last!

A Girl's Best Friend was another unputdownable read by Lindsey Kelk. I laughed, I gasped and I cringed the whole way through and I loved every minute of it. Christmas time will be a time where I finally curl up with the I Heart series - Lindsey's writing is so light and honest and I can't wait to lose myself with more of er characters. They are so honest and so familiar that it's impossible not to relate with them. I hope there's another to come in the A Girl series because I can't get enough of Tess Brookes!

Lindsey Kelk does it again with her third installment in the A Girl series. A Girl's Best Friend begins six months after What A Girl Wants ends - and at a wedding (no spoilers in this review).

I adore the A Girl series, as Lindsey's writing is so spot on. She makes you feel like you should be part of the gang, right there in the action. #TeamNick or #TeamCharlie - this book has you guessing which way Tess will go. Personally, I was #teamnick all the way - from the very beginning their chemistry was off the charts. Charlie felt like a safe bet - if you have loved someone for 10 years and they haven't returned the feelings...

I also have to add a huge thank you to Lindsey for bringing in Angela, Jenny, and the girls from the I Heart Series. Perfect!! Loved it!!!

I would recommend this book to anyone who adores RomComs, Chick-Lit - as this book, and series, has it all!
