Reading these after having watched all of Legend of Korra, makes me realize how much I had missed certain characters, like Sokka and Toph. Okay, yes, we do get a little bit of both of them in Korra, but not nearly enough.

I'm reading these way too quickly, and then I'm going to have to wait to have more Team Avatar in my life.

So true to the original series in tone and content. I'm shook.

Solid fight scene. Cool conclusion. Minus a start for Aang and Katara calling each other "sweetie" multiple times.

there's so much hostility and it doesn't even feel like good tension - i'm just uncomfortable.

and Katara is sounding like a child sometimes, but she also knows what she's talking about IDK

Of course both sides have pros and cons, and I'm sure Aang will come up with a compromise by the next book.
