I was hooked on this book from page one. Crichton did an amazing job writing a female lead, and the tension and mystery surrounding the truth was perfect. I guessed a few things, however that was based on the presented information. It was well done, and I loved every minute of it!

What a well researched book and well explained so it felt natural. I'm an aviation fan so a lot of the terminology I was familiar with but it was. Pacing was fast and it unravelled really well. The portrayal of the media is even more true today than when this was first published. A must read for anyone who likes aviation and thrillers.

I am guessing the accident itself might be inspired by Aeroflot 593 where the crash was caused by the pilot's son flying the plane.

I never thought that I would be into a book about planes as much as I was with this one. This book starts off fast pace and never really stops. It is all corporate intrigue, politics, and media. I also think it's amazing how Michael Crichton called out the media in this book and really hit it on the head on how it is today in 2024. Great book for anybody interested in a thrill Ride about corporations and how the media covers them.

This has to be my favorite book by my favorite author.

The way the story builds up and goes back and forth with each twist until the end, as you try and solve the major question of the novel.

It's an extraordinary read. With not only providing us, the readers, a look into an industry; but also a look at reality when something like this happens.
