All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

5.0

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book - could hardly put it down over the three days it took me to read. A cleverly constructed and richly descriptive account of life during the war for two children that tugged at the heartstrings and made you feel like you were in the story with the characters. The plot itself was fairly predictable, but the magic in this book, and of course the reason why it’s been so highly awarded, is that the prose is so beautiful, haunting and well-thought out.
