I am reading these out of order. I started with Dani Brown, but as much as I loved Dani, Chloe's personality is just so cute and relatable. Red was meh at best. He was just there for me.

I’m really disappointed in this book, I had heard such great things but it fell flat for me! Chloe was rude but that made her “quirky”. I just didn’t like it. Won’t be reading the rest of the series unfortunately.

I liked this, it was a very sweet romance read. One thing I really appreciated about this book, and was also present in the other book I read by this author, was the representation, it's always nice to see all different kinds of people in books. My main issue with this, and this comes up a lot for me in romance reads, was the third-act conflict. I know why these conflicts are there, I just usually find them annoying and sometimes feel that they wrap up too fast, though that wasn't a problem with this book. Overall, a nice read, and I would maybe like to read the other books in the series.

I listened to this as an Audiobook! This started as 5 ⭐️ for me but as it went on it was just okay. I don’t think the narrator was the right choice, she sounded quite old and although her switching of accents was good, it just didn’t seem to fit Chloe’s voice. The spicy scenes had a level of cringe because of that. I thought the writing was very funny, which was unexpected but I really enjoyed that! I love a list in a story, but in this one I feel like it took a back seat. I also loved the representation in the story. I feel like Chloe and Red weren’t “enemies” for long enough, when they got over that, it felt very insta love and got a bit boring. The “problem” at the end just seemed so minor, a slight miscommunication and I couldn’t grasp the blow up. Red’s words at this moment were bizarre and so awkward. I also found it a bit too much spicy thoughts, and they were awkward and cringey to listen to, I didn’t love all the word choices used. I also thought that it didn’t fully make sense that when there was an intimate scene, Chloe felt absolutely no paid. Red’s character to me just didn’t fit with the artist vibe at all. So overall, it was okay!
