I went into this book a bit blind to the premise, but I’ve seen enough people rave about this book online, that I had high hopes that I’d enjoy it. It definitely met all my expectations and then some! It was a new twist on the sports romance trope for me, and I thought that made it more of a refreshing read. I loved the push and pull between Stevie and Zanders. It started out as let’s-get-this-out-our-systems sexual tension, something they wanted to keep surface level, and yet it still wound up getting so much deeper and I was obsessed as these two got to know each other better and fell in love.

Plus there are sweet doggos in this book, and I’m always a sucker for sweet doggos.
