this book lost me for a second, and I almost didn’t want to finish it, but I reached a point where I began to understand. there were so many things Dolly Alderton touched on that I couldn’t relate to, but as she grew I began to notice the similarities in her words to my own emotions. there was a specific paragraph, on page 133, in which Alderton talks about how everything will change. those words took my by surprise and I had never felt more understood until that moment. i loved reading that bit and I had a massive knot in my throat for the rest of the day. such a good read, and I can’t wait to watch the show!

I really enjoyed this memoir! It's the perfect and realistically comforting read for anyone in their twenties. Some chapters literally made me sob - pretty much from the halfway point to the end. Might consider buying a copy someday if I ever spot it on sale!
