3.5⭐️ took a while to warm up to this one. The first half of the book was a lot of world building and a bit of a slog to read. It did become necessary info as I read on and the story picked up, I did end up enjoying it!

I can’t even count how many times I had to reread a paragraph or page to regain focus or retain what I had just read, so many characters that go undeveloped and other slow and drawn out details that were not needed, wish the entire book was like the last ~50 pages
