#ToshikazuKawaguchi’s, ☕Before the Coffee Gets Cold☕ puts us into the lives of certain people who decided to go back into the past, but the present remains the same.

That first sentence was a bit confusing right? Often times, when we think about people going back into the past, they do it in hopes of changing something that would affect the future. This author turns that upon its head where though you do have the ability to go back into the past, the present doesn’t change. I think the premise of this book was quite a difficult one to understand at first, but then as the book went on it was quite clear about the benefits of such a system. In the beginning I didn’t understand what it meant, or the meaning of some of the characters going back into the past, but after reading the four chapters, I understood the meaning of the novel.

I think that this story was a cute concept, and it really emphasized us making use of our time with our loved ones, or even just being honest with ourselves. Also, saying what truly is in our heart takes courage to do, but in the end will you regret it if you don’t really say what you really want. And even despite, having the courage to be put in the same stressful situation again, do we actually have the courage to say what we want to say? While reading this book, I thought about a lot of those times where I wanted to go back and how I would say things differently.

I recommend this book to anyone who is going through a difficult saying the things that are deep in your heart.

A bit sad but a really peaceful, casual, feel-good read and an interesting concept

Perfection. The writing is perfect. The plot. The rules. All of this book was perfect. How else could it be said. Everything felt absolutely perfect. It’s a time travelling cafe what else would you need. The style was perfect and every character felt so fleshed out and real like having a peak through a curtain into a beautiful small moment of time. Wish I had read it sooner as it did not disappoint. I cried. I laughed. I fell in love with this book and can’t wait to read the next books in the series.
