DNF @ 64%

Started skimming at 50% because this got to OTT, fluffy, sugary sweet with more than a touch of a 50s housewife situation going on in a bubble that nothing was talked about. Just half sentences and "let's not talk about that now". So that whole vibe didn't work for me and I didn't feel compelled to finish this.

Pity though 'cos that cover is GORGEOUS!!!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

So I don't know if I just got tired of the series or what but this was the most unentertaining of the series. It's still a nice quick easy read. The characters are sweet and loveable. The only problem I had with the plot is the way Gray blames everything on West when in reality it's Eli's fault. That was annoying. The series as a whole starts amazing. The first two book fantastic. The third starts to get a bit slow but is still good. Then this one felt like a bit of a drag to the finish. I did love the epilogue though. That was a saving grace. The decrease of kink as the books went on I think is what made them slow. The first two get you expecting great kink all the way through. Then we lose that as the series goes on.

I liked this one better than the first two books but the third is still my favourite by far. How the age gap was handled and the babying of Eli made me uncomfortable and I feel like the power imbalance was a little icky, but overall it was a pretty solid book. Love the dynamic between Eli and his roommates and wish that was explored more in all of the books. Also ADORE the pro-sexwork attitude in this series but especially this book.
