I was blown away by this book. It has always been on my To-Read list since I love anything about dystopia and society analysis, and I knew how good this book was, but not that it was going to be this good. There's a reason why it's considered to be a classic!!

Of course, the book's satire against some historical figures is as clear as day, but still, I love how this book can still be applied to modern days. Right now in my country, we have a character that resembles Napoleon quite a bit, and it amused me at the same time that anguished me parallels I could take from this book and the current situation in my country. It's amazing. It doesn't matter in what period, people mad with power never change.

I think this book is also extremely clever, the way it lays you everything you know can happen in the first few pages, and it still shocks you showing you *how* it happens. Also, the characters in it, albeit they clearly represent certain types of people in our society, serve their purpose perfectly. I'll think about Boxer for a long time lol

If you haven't read this book yet and are interested in this kind of work, I can't recommend it enough. It's worth each second of your time! Now, I gotta look for a happier book to lift myself from the sadness this book left me with.
