There was no real plot in my opinion. Halfway through I did enjoy reading it but then everything felt repetitive and the characters relationship felt too childish in my opinion and that also became repetitive. Definitely good enoug for a lighthearted read and it might make a good rom-com.

Just a few scenes in the book that made it drop down a star for me that I did not enjoy/agree with at all.

Elsie always writes the best small town romances. This one features a sort of single dad (Ford) and a sunshine girl back in her small town (Rosie).

I definitely miss the cowboys, but an obsessed billionaire is also great!

Well, I love Ford. He’s protective, caring & anticipates others’ needs. I just think the connection between Ford & Rosie was almost childish and that turned me off of it all. I also found myself bored at one point in this book and just wanting it to be over. Ford, how Rosie handled what happened to her, & the family interactions get 3 stars though.

I will love anything Elsie Silver right she just does romance book well definitely 1 of my top 3 authors what’s not to love about childhood rivals theirs always so much tension the plot of the book is so unique I never read anything like it and the smut is a chefs kiss. Ford and Rosie relationship  Is funny, lighthearted and sexy. This book is literally perfect it’s so close to being a 5 star read I can’t wait to see where this series leads to.

If Elsie Silver writes it, there’s a 99% chance I’m reading it. Honestly, she’s the Queen of the cowboy/country/small town romance.

I was not expecting a billionaire romance from her, but pop off! And like a billionaire who doesn’t really want to be one? This book once again had me contemplating moving to a bustling small town…I could never (right?).

The banter here was really fun! Those emails? I was cackling!! I enjoyed Ford and Rosie’s interactions and to watch them quickly realize that their hatred was just a shield for something a lot more passionate. They were really sweet together and Ford’s teenage devotion/obsession was honestly so cute. Like he would burn down the world for her, but he’s also this very nerdy guy.

I kind of wanted to strangle both Ford and Rosie at times if I’m honest. Ford for being so bottled up with his emotions and somewhat unaware of what impact his actions have on others. And Rosie for being a little too chaotic, I know if I knew her in real life she would drive me crazy.

Side characters here were super fun and gave us the setting for the new town and series. Cora especially was the sweetest little angel baby. I felt for her so much!

It was kind of annoying how this book was hitting soooo many tropes. Like small town, single dad, billionaire, brother’s best friend, will do anything for her. It’s just a lot and sometimes books get boiled down to just their tropes and I hate it.

I’m excited for another series! I know the next book is Wild Eyes with West/Skylar. But I’m pretty sure I found an Easter egg, and there will be a book called Wild Side with Tabby and the guy from bowling they never got the name of (who I also think is the wrestler wild side) and that Wild Side is actually the father of Tabby’s sisters kid that Tabby is raising.
