i did not really like the ending but i did enjoy reading the book the ending just felt rushed i thought i was really going to like the book but idk i need some time to reflect on it

reflecting and watching some reviews on this book just makes me understand why i love reading it but hated the ending the process of reading it was fun and fast but the ending was too rushed like the parts just didn’t make sense how he knew where the gun was how he did this to alica but it was actually all the past including his wife cheating idk it doesn’t add up especially with all the people you learn about for no reason

Took me almost a year to finish something that I could’ve in a day and I blame the writing. However, the twist was very good and I would consider re-reading at a faster pace to get the whole picture even though I know the twist. It’s the type of book you’d go back to see what you missed.

Going back again to give it 2 stars instead of 3. The stereotypes, the sexsim , the fat phobia, and the misogynistic way it was written really gets on my nerves.
The whole plot about Alcestis and the interpretation was brilliant and drove me to read the original Alcestis, and ironically enough, it made me hate the book even more!
