I was excited for this one because I loved Sloane’s character in the previous books. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Characters were undeveloped, plot was all over the place and it failed to grab my attention.

I have to start of by saying that i am positively surprised! I was not that excited for Sloanes and Xavier´s story just because Xavier did not fit my usual book boyfriend materiel lol. Even though it has been done thousand times i still find myself simping for the cold, rich guys. While Xavier was rich (i mean this dude literally booked a whole Hotel for her?!) he was the funny and talkative type.

At the beginning it kinda put me off that he did not thrive to do anything and just partied but as the book progressed and he got to work on something that he was passionate about that feeling quickly disappeared. I felt that while he is the funny guy he also had a serious side and i loved how he was not afraid to apologize sincerely and communicate his feelings openly when it came to his love towards Sloane. He has that "You touch her, You die" vibe down to a tee!! Sloane and Xavier together are just the cutest!

The reason i only gave the book three stars tho is because of the story. I loved Xavier and Sloane but because Xavier was not my type of guy i was more focused on the storyline lol. At the beginning i was really excited as to where the story was headed but in the middle before the fire broke out it kind of got boring and the only points that kept me engaged where the little segments where Dante, Kai, Alex or literally any former MMC made an appearance. The Story was okay but not suspenseful enough for me.
And i found myself simping and giggling whenever Vuk had his moments (I CAN NOT WAIT FOR HIS STORYYY)!! he stole the show and completely overshadowed Xavier for me. I guess that is just my preference for the cold, rich guy!

All in all it was enjoyable so 3 stars!
