I had such high expectations because this concept sounded so cool but it really fell flat for me. I just did not care at all where the story was going. There were some good twists, but I wasn’t really able to root for any of the romance. Lots of life lessons and platitudes and it just felt like it was missing substance and real connection between the characters. Meh.

Interesting premise but I didn’t really connect with the characters. When she added a terminal illness in the second half I realized life is too short and DNF’ed.
Graphic: Chronic illness and Terminal illness

DNF @ 36%.
I suppose I went into this thinking this would be a more profound book than it is. With a premise like seeing the future and knowing how long a relationship lasts, there were multiple things the author could explore...especially since a lot of the book was spent on flashbacks over her various prior relationships.
And Jake? The one that doesn't have an expiration date? I didn't feel any chemistry. At all. She had way more chemistry with her best friend (and ex-boyfriend) Hugo.
Sigh. Another one for the unfinished pile I guess.
